Food and Beverage Manager – Gillingham

£8-10 p/h depending on experience.

Must have a minimum of 2 years’ management experience in F+B or leisure.
Current food hygiene certificate at Level 2 or higher is advantageous

Two Receptionist Vacancies – Gillingham

Silver Blades are looking for 2 Part-time receptionists in their Gillingham rink.

    • We are looking for friendly, hardworking individuals who can work well under pressure alone and as part of a team, with strong customer service skills
    • The right candidate must have good telephone manner, be punctual and be able to think on their feet.
    • Shift patterns switch between early starts and late finishes so a candidate who could drive would be preferred.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers
  • Cash handling
  • Answering the telephone
  • Liaising with co-workers
  • Make bookings for upcoming courses/events

Previous receptionist/administration work would be a bonus, however full training will be given.

Duty Manager – Solihull

Working in an interesting and varied role at a dynamic leisure facility you will oversee the day to day operation. You will join a team passionate about delivering a high-quality skating experience.

You as a person will need to be:

  • A good communicator in person by phone & email.
  • Have a passion for delivering a high-quality customers experience.
  • Be able to motivate and manage staff
  • Oversee Health & Safety of customers and staff
  • Have a methodical approach to cash handling and paperwork.
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous and cheerful attitude while working under pressure

Experience

  • Experience in a supervisory role is essential.
  • An understanding of till systems would be an advantage.
  • Some knowledge of food & beverage would be an advantage but not essential.
  • The ambition to fulfil the role to a high standard is most important.

What we offer

  • Your rota would be 5 days out of 7 day
  • Competitive salary depending on experience.

Skate Hire Assistant

We currently have a vacancy here at Planet Ice Solihull for a Skate Hire Assistant. The position will be part time, and will involve working at weekends.
This role would be suitable for a mature individual that is confident when dealing with customers in a professional manner and has a positive work ethic.

You as a person will need to be

  • Be a polite individual that can communicate in a professional manner
  • Have a passion for delivering a high quality customers experience.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous and cheerful attitude while working under pressure
  • Maintain and clean the rink structure and general surrounding area of any debris and general litter
  • Give guidance to members of the public
  • Provide guidance on rink products to ice rink users and signpost customers to sales channels as required
  • Collect rink user information in accordance with DPA

What really matters is that you’re a hard worker who’s always willing to get stuck in and support your team. Excellent communication skills are a must too, plus plenty of energy, enthusiasm and a passion for providing a superb customer experience.
It will be required that you are available to work flexible shift patterns e.g. morning shifts, evening shifts and weekends.
